For various operational reasons (WB yard being blocked for one) the Dec 11th tour is likely to start from Euston.

Off Euston 05.22, 11.40ish into Glasgow I think it was. Looked a pretty good path, no pathing stops until Carlisle. Failed to print the times off to confirm though!

No sign of return times today but it'll be around 16.00 as the ECS into Glasgow and ECS engine back to Polmadie are in around that time. The empties go via via Hamilton getting turned in the process so one end is going to be at the back all day...

Which is very perplexing as long range weather forecasts suggest temperatures and conditions steadily improving from Thursday onwards!

Unfortunately Barrow Hill is still under a lot of snow and the points linking BH to the mainline are currently unserviceable. NR have indicated that this is likely to be the case until the new year.

It's disappointing all round. 86101 had had a big exam, which was due, prior to the run. Hey ho, these things happen, she's found work with 87002 doing the ice breaking up north on the WCML.

Couldn't they have used 86 259 'Les Ross' based at Tyseley? That doesn't seem to be doing anything these days

Issue isn't the loco!! The stock is at Barrow Hill. Loco was at Willesden, it's now at Carlisle.
