The weather.....help needed to find rain amounts!

It seems to have rained continually since the start of October, with the exception of half-term week. Is there anywhere where I could find the daily record of a local weather station to see if my thoughts that it has rained on every single day can be verified?
I've tried the met-office site but it's a nightmare to navigate and I can't find what I want.
The best I have come up with so far is https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/uk/manchester/historic but it doesn't appear to give daily amounts (?)

You may struggle to find this. The people who collect such data do so for professional reasons and it has a value. Best bet is to find an amateur who publishes data online, but it may be there’s isn’t one for the area you are looking for.

Thanks, it does Manchester and the "rainfall and rain days" tells it's own story. By the heck it's rained some this year....is this to become regular due to climate change??

It's not very easy to navigate, but the Environment Agency collect data and make measurements from their automatic rain gauges available: try http://environment.data.gov.uk/flood-monitoring/doc/rainfall or http://environment.data.gov.uk/flood-monitoring/assets/demo/index.html for example. Clicking on 'API details' below the map on the latter opens links to some different options, and the URLs can be manipulated to give different datasets. You should - with a bit of patience - be able to get rainfall readings for several rain gauges in Manchester. Good luck!

It's very useful, and shows how much rainfall can vary within a short distance and not affected by relief.
This recent wet spell - make that deluge - must be countered with the situation in 2018 where we went 2 - 3 months with the minimal amount of rain (remember the moors round here up in flames?) so much so that my lawn sank and exposed tree roots that I never knew were there!!
