On Monday 18th February 22000's No's 22031 & 22032 were transferred from North Wall to Laois Traincare Depot (LTD). The first movement was with 082 + 22031 and left North Wall at approx 1430 hours. 082 then returned L.E. to Inchicore. Meanwhile 152 went L.E. from Inchicore to North Wall and was used to transfer 22032 to LTD leaving North Wall at approx 1830. It was noted at Kildare at 2044.

Tuesday saw 209 make a return to traffic after a stint in Inchicore Works. Unusually, instead of transferring to Connolly to take up work on Enterprise services it was used on several Heuston based services, these being 05.05 Heuston - Carlow Empty, 06.30 Carlow - Heuston, 12.40 Heuston - Westport & 18.05 Westport - Heuston. The use of Enterprise liveried locomotives on services ex Heuston has decreased dramatically since the end of December 2007, coinciding with the introduction of TPWS in Northern Ireland. Only six Class 201's are fitted with the TPWS equipment, therefore they rarely tend to stray from Dublin – Belfast Enterprise duties.

Apologies for the off-topic ness, but here the FO(?) Ennis has been producing a pair of babies again recently (145/146 mentioned by MIB today) - surely worth heading down for a phot rather than more 200ers!

I have to balance the old photography with other commitments. I did the Ennis some weeks ago but I didn't put the photos up for some reason. Must get around to putting them up over the weekend.

Planning a jaunt down south next weekend so a detour to Ennis is possible subject to work etc.

Mid-morning in Heuston found another loco-hauled service falling to the 22000's with the 1110 Heuston - Galway and 1505 Galway - Heuston now being operated by the new Intercity DMU's. Also 076 worked the Timber from the West of Ireland to Waterford and this was photographed passing Killenard.
