Obviously practically anyone who wants to be a Driver finds this to be a harsh and draconian regulation as there are very few jobs out there which are similar in the sense of being outdoor based, relatively autonomous and well remunerated.
Does anyone find it at odds though with the supposed ethos of the UK privatised rail network, if they're all private entities in competition then what difference does it make to say Anglia if someone they've turned down for Driving goes to SWT and becomes a Driver ?
