I am assured that the BT engineers would have the problem cleared by midnight, so having been off-line since 1935 last night, I will see if things have improved.

I was under the impression that it would be valid so long as we didn't leave the main part of the British Isles; however...

That is the reason why I looked again at the rules, but the only clarification in them was the extract from the rules that I posted in my previous post.

Caterham is a terminal station so it is "end of the line" for rail travel (excuse the pun) and we walk the very short walk outside the station to the bus stop on Station Avenue, where we board the Metrobus service 400 to Gatwick Airport that arrives at the South Terminal at 1704 on Tuesday afternoon.
