We now decide upon a short westerly cross country journey and board the 1445 First ScotRail service to Falkirk High that arrives at 1514 on Tuesday afternoon.
In this game you must travel from the station or stop where the previous post left you. No getting back on the same service you have just left........ Please post the day of the week and the time and where your journey starts and finishes
1724 Southern service to Rochester.
I didn't know Southern went to Rochester Paul :P do you mean Southeastern?
It is surely time to book into a hotel for a well-earned rest to prepare us for our next journey in a northerly direction and we book a very early alarm call at reception, which allows us to return to the station to board the 0600 XC service to Glasgow Central that arrives there at 0822 on Friday morning.
I certainly would be surprised if 1S31 got us to Glasgow by 0822! Presuming you mean 1214, we then grab a lovely lunch at Glasgow and then board 1W29, the 1250 ScotRail service to Wemyss Bay, which arrives there at 1340 on Friday afternoon.
Can I take you back to the 31st December when someone who shall go un-named suggested it was possible to leave Altrincham at 1705 on a Manchester Metrolink service to Bury....arriving there at 1717....in only 12 minutes..![]()
Yes but I didn't intend to show you up of course!
We then continue our travels through the night and travel on 1D19, the 2255 Arriva Trains Wales service to Holyhead, arriving there at the ungodly hour of 0216 early Saturday morning.
You mean the 23:57 from Crewe? 22:55 is from Birmingham New Street, and before we arrive at Crewe!

Anyway, we decide to take a night's rest (what's left of it!) in Holyhead, before departing on 1V57, the 10:33 Arriva Trains Wales service to Cardiff Central, but our train gets delayed en route due to cable theft around Hereford, and we arrive nearly an hour late at 16:20 on a Saturday afternoon.
We board the 1655 ATW service to Manchester Airport that arrives at 2115 on Saturday evening.
