We admire the statue of Harold Wilson on the station forecourt, before catching the 0852 First 313 service to Hepworth from outside the station, alighting at Holmfirth Bus Station at 0927, Friday morning.

We find that in the time taken to find the K-Line stand in Huddersfield Bus Station, 150222 and gnolife have whisked us back to Manchester via Halifax, so we are back in Manchester, and looking-forward to perhaps making the trip over Scammonden Moor next time! And by the time I've posted this, we've already moved on to Todmorden!]

As it's Christmas (I'm actually making my own rules here!), I will give you a present in the form of a relief: jump on 2V45 the 1745 Coryton to Waun-Gron which arrives at 1814. Then we can go on Paul's train on the 1842 from there to Cardiff and onto Manchester on the 2016.

(Ironically, the 1842 Waungron to Cardiff service which Paul travelled on is actually the same train we left at from Coryton [2V45], its just gone to Radyr and back!).

Thats what I'm trying to get through to you all. THose moves taking us to Walsden have been latching onto Welshman's post at 00:00 (459). THat wasn't valid as I had beaten him to getting out of Halifax (458). We are at Man VIctoria at 13:08

If we are at Manchester Victoria, then we'll jump on 2N97, the 1319 Northern service to Blackpool North, which arrives there at 1451 on Friday afternoon. It's a shame these services are no longer operated by 180s the likely scenario is that the later 2N97 1719 Man Victoria-Blackpool will now most probably will be operated by a single pacer as opposed to a 5-car Adelante!
