We decide to head north once again on the delights of a stopping train and board the 1128 Southern service to Bletchley that arrives there at 1254 on Saturday afternoon.

We arrive in good time to complete our rather circuitous route back to Bedford departing on the 13:01 LM service which arrives at its destination at 13:45 on Saturday afternoon.

Once again, we head southwards, and board the 1354 FCC service to Wivelsfield that arrives there at 1559 on Saturday afternoon.

We make our way out to the bus stop that serves the railway station where we board the 16:22 Metrobus 270 service to Pyecombe, Rockrose (on Clayton Hill) arriving at 16:40 on Saturday afternoon.

We next board the 1656 Sussex Bus service 40 to Brighton (London Road Shops) that arrives there at 1711 on Saturday afternoon

We cross the road to the northbound stop and take Metrobus 273 service at 1808 to Slough Green, Sloughgreen arriving at 1852 Saturday evening

We next board the 1933 Metrobus service 271 to Pease Pottage (The Black Swan) that arrives there at 1944 on Saturday evening.

We continue on the last bus of the day, the 2028 Metrobus service 273, reaching civilisation (??) in the form of Crawley, opp East Park (on Brighton Road) at 2033 Saturday evening

The last bus of the day means we can seek restful Saturday overnight accommodation and a Sunday hearty cooked breakfast before making our our way to the bus stop to board the 0851 Metrobus service 271 to Cuckfield (High Street) that arrives there at 0908 on Sunday morning.

Looks like the Metrobus 271 is the only bus availabe from here and we have a two hour wait for the next departure at 1108 which takes us to Burgess Hill Rail Station arriving at 1123 on Sunday.

We decide to head in a westerly direction and board the 1206 SN service to Portsmouth & Southsea that arrives there at 1326 on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday is not a good day for any mode of transport when you are on Patchway railway station, so we next board the 1852 FGW service to Bristol Temple Meads that arrives at 1906 on Sunday evening.

I think that many months ago, it was decided to use the normal daily timetabled services, that normally prevail in times such as being experienced at present.

However, I am not sure if the rules were amended to incorporate that decision on this quiz

I'm happy with it being a valid move under the rules, flooding or no flooding

The reference to it was a throwaway comment

So we remain at Crewkerne at 2053 on Monday evening waiting for someone other than me to make a move.
