I fear what seems to be an early hour of 1900 in large cities is very late for bus connections in the more small and rural communities, so we resign ourself to spending the night in this iconic settlement until we take the 0716 Wessex Connect service 620 to Pucklechurch (Fleur de Lys) that arrives there at 0740 on Thursday morning.

Let's visit another educational establishment - by taking the Eagle Coaches 970 service at 0815, travelling to Soundwell, Mangotsfield School, arriving at 0828 on Thursday morning

and no - we don't have to spend all day there

Our next journey takes us from the education establishment we arrived at to Hawkesbury Upton, The Fox Inn on board the 09:30 Wessex Connect 86 service which arrives in the village at 10:16 on Thursday morning.

We are afforded time to explore the settlement and to have a snack and a hot drink before returning to the bus stop to board the 1211 Wessex Connect service 86 to Mangotsfield (Cossham Street) that arrives there at 1255 on Thursday afternoon.

We cannot reboard the train that we have just arrived on as the connection time is not sufficiant, but there is a later train, so we board the 2050 ATW service to Whitland that arrives there at 2126 on Thursday evening.

We are now afforded the opportunity to travel on the early morning train on the Heart of Wales line, so having spoken to the member of the train staff that we wish to disembark at a request stop, we board the 0453 ATW service to Broome that arrives there at 0746 on Friday morning.

This extract from the rules does thoughtfully cover situations where there may be a dearth of ANY type of onward service, such as the post-midnight period or in small settlements where the last bus has departed by 1900 and never had any train service at all or post-railway station closure, some of which occurred in the 1930's or even earlier.

Paul made a move from the posting previous to Dzug2, this meant that I thought his move was the latest move and not Dzug2, So as per the rules, a Hold must be applied for Paul to make another move from Pewsey at 08:07 Friday Morning.

Deciding that there is not much fun to be had waiting for ages for another train, we leave the railway station and walk to the bus stop on the station approach which has the road by the same name and board the 0834 Salisbury Reds service X5 to Swindon (Spring Gardens) that arrives there at 0926 on Friday morning.
