You must depart from the station or stop where the previous post arrived using a permitted timetabled public transport service. The minimum connection time for the station or stop must be allowed for. Where this is not published, a minimum interchange time is considered to be five minutes.

You may not reboard the service used by the previous post.

This extract from the recent updating of the rules covers that very point that you were unsure upon.

I don't believe Chesham Broadway and Chesham Underground are the same stop anyway - Traveline says it's 3 minutes walk. Otherwise I'd have been tempted to try it.

We enter the railway station and soon board the 1453 LM service to Bletchley that arrives there at 1515 on Friday afternoon.

We have quite a while to wait for our next train here, so we pass the time by exploring the station itself, watching numerous expresses pass through non-stop and wonder if trains will ever run over the flyover we see...?

The brief interlude in our travels is over as our next departure sees us on the 15:47 LM service to Stewartby arriving 16:15 on Friday.

This area was really developed by the London Brick Company, who built houses in the old village environs and renamed the area after a senior company personage with the surname Stewart, but the Marston Vale line these days sees an hourly daytime service and not wishing to retrace our steps, we decide to carry on and we next board the 1715 LM service to Bedford that arrives at 1731 on Friday afternoon.

We want to keep on the move as we may be swamped if we stand still at this hour on a Friday.

We are just able to keep within the rules by boarding FCC's 1736 service as far as Luton Airport Parkway arriving at 1802 Friday

Not wanting to get caught in the melee of evening commuters or weekenders getting away we continue our journey on the 18:09 EMT service to Long Eaton arriving 19:48 on Friday evening

A one-hour rail journey now awaits us as we board the 2029 EMT service to Matlock that arrives there at 2129 on Friday evening.

To save us reboarding the train we have just left we go and take a stroll round the town. Returning to the railway station to catch the last train of the day at 2255 as far as Matlock Bath getting there at 2257, Friday night

Here we find ourselves, stranded on a Friday night in Matlock Bath on the railway station, with all means of transport away to their depots...and the lead mining museum closed to boot, so wondering "lonely as a cloud". we stroll up the river walkway and seeing the moonlight over the high cliffs that abut the valley, we understand why the Victorians likened the town to a Swiss valley town and having made the journey back to the railway station, we make ourselves comfortable as possible until it is time to board the 0624 EMT service to Belper that arrives there at 0644 on Saturday morning.

We could take another trip up the Derwent Valley towards our previous location, but instead choose to visit the 'steel city' as we join the 07:28 EMT service to Sheffield arriving 07:59 on Saturday morning.

We board the 0805 First Transpennie Express to Manchester Airport getting there at 0926 Saturday Morning

We haven't visited Teeside for a little while and make amends by boarding the 09:35 TPE service to Middlesborough arriving at 12:30 on Saturday

Whilst here, we realise that the line down the Esk Valley to an iconic seaside resort famous for its ruined abbey atop a headland...and excellent fish and chips...is available for use, so we next board the 1416 Northern service to Whitby that arrives there at 1543 on Saturday afternoon.

There are no less than five postings that have been affected by this current HOLD situation.

That is indeed the case and there is a train from Matlock to Matlock Bath at 2139. The next service formed by the stock of a terminating train is a different service and the rules require that you use the first available service to reach your destination after allowing for the minimum connection time. The above move by Bodie and all subsequent posts are void due to this and as a result we are back at Matlock at 2129 on Friday with Bodie having priority to post the next move until 1427 after which time it becomes open floor.
