A change of TOC sees us board the 1558 Northern service to Prestbury that arrives at 1624 on Thursday afternoon.

A short journey now follows on the 1714 Northern Rail service to Macclesfield arriving at 1718 on Thursday.

We now look to take a journey to the more southern reaches of the country as we board the 1727 XC service to Patchway that arrives at 2025 on Thursday evening.

We make ourselves as comfortable as possible while we await a connection eastwards and eventually, we join with the early morning commuters and board the 0605 FGW service to Thatcham that arrives there at 0714 on Friday morning.

We exit the station just in time for the 0716 Newbury and District 105 bus which we take to Douai Abbey opp Douai Abbey Gardens, arriving at 0754 on Friday morning

We enter the railway station and board the 1046 LO service to Watford Junction that arrives there at 1124 on Friday morning.

We then catch the Network Harlow 724 bus at 1215 and travel to Ware Ware College ....(where?? sorry...) arriving at 1355 Friday afternoon

Have some time to spare before we board the 1452 Centrebus service 383 to Watton-at-Stone (The Bull public house) that arrives there at 1513 on Friday afternoon.

We have to wait until 1621 for a Centrebus 390 service departure to Shephall near Shephall Way arriving at 1634 Friday afternoon

Luckily the local bus service does give us another opportunity to traverse this modern settlement. We depart on the 16:42 Centrebus service 178 and alight at Stevenage Bus Station arriving at 16:53 on Friday afternoon.

We continue on National Express service 777 at 1705 and travel to Birmingham Airport bus terminal arriving at 1950 Friday evening

We continue on the 20:32 National Express West midlands 900 service to Coventry (Pool Meadow Bus Station) Arriving there at 21:08 Friday Evening

Deciding to stay in the area, we next board the 2130 National Express service 460 to Stratford-upon-Avon (adjacent to the Riverside bus station) that arrives there at 2215 on Friday evening.

We find annoyingly that although there is onward transport, it being a Friday, it doesn't go from the immediate vicinity of the bus station and is therefore likely to be challenged

We therefore wait until morning and catch the Stagecoach X17 bus at 0809 from St Gregory's Road, immediately outside the coach station and travel to Portobello Bridge, arriving 0840 Saturday morning

Not too long to wait before we board the 0908 Stagecoach X17 service to Wyandotte (Albion Street) that arrives there at 0937 on Saturday morning.

Looks like there's more than one version of the X17 timetable - your times are a few minutes out from the one I'm using which shows:

a 1002 X17 departure from Wyandotte, landing up at Warwick Parkway station at 1117 Saturday morning after a slow and meandering journey

So did I - there must be multiple versions of it. I found the journey from Stratford in several timetables

Anyway, the bard is recalling us and we take the 1341 Chiltern departure and alight at the new station of Stratford Parkway arriving at 1524 Saturday afternoon

We have just a little more leeway than the five minute connection period so we next board the 1530 LM service to Cradley Heath that arrives there at 1643 on Saturday afternoon.

The 1654 LM departure will take us to Smethwick Galton Bridge HL arriving at 1706 Saturday afternoon

We have time to check which platform on the station to use in order to take a long run westwards then we board the 1730 ATW service to Ty Croes that arrives there at 2110 on Saturday evening.

We have nearly two hours to wait until the last transport of the day arrives, an ATW train, at 2203.

We ride to the next station, Rhosneigr, arriving at 2206 Saturday evening.

Here for the night, we walk down to the beach and make ourselves comfortable, watching the sea come and go, then as Sunday morning draws on, we walk up the hill and down the road to the railway station. We note that this is a request stop and we give a clear signal to the train driver signifying that we wish to travel and board the 0802 ATW service to Bangor that arrives there at 0827 on Sunday morning.
