We bunk down in Victoria as their are no places of interest to visit.
After a few hours we board the 0522 South Eastern service to Westgate-on-Sea where we arrive at 0714 on a nice sunny and warm Thursday morning.

We head outside to avoid the underground, and are pleasantly suprised by the information available here, and so we chose to board the 03:05 Metroline number 24 service to Trafalgar Square arriving there at 03:14 Thursday Morning.

Just to point out, Going that we didn't sleep at Hereford on Wednesday Morning or any time since then, in total we are comming up to 48 hours without sleep! The last time we slept was on the FTPE service to Manchester Airport on Tuesday morning.

The rules do not allow waiting for more than 2 hours after the first available service. I will declare this move void so we remain at London Victoria at 02:49 on Thursday. As with other times when moves have been declared void, I will allow ModernRailways a period of time to post a valid move before it becomes open floor. This would usually be one hour but considering the current time of day I will allow until 1000.

After a short wait at Victoria we head back south on board the 0330 Gatwick Express service to Gatwick Airport where we arrive at 0405 on Thursday morning.

Not long to wait until the next departure...a short trip from the airport on the 04:25 FCC service to Three Bridges arriving at 04:30 on Thursday morning.

We make our way to the adjacent bus station (that's still allowed surely?) and catch Arriva's 1 service at 0937 to Lavendon o/s War Memorial arriving 1059, Thursday morning

Since no query has been raised over the last posting over quite a period of time since it was made......We spend some time at the bus terminus, then we board the 1109 Arriva Milton Keynes service 1 to Emberton (The Ball and Bear) that arrives there at 1127 on Thursday morning.

We make our way to the adjacent bus station (that's still allowed surely?) and catch Arriva's 1 service at 0937 to Lavendon o/s War Memorial arriving 1059, Thursday morning

Sorry for the delay but unfortunately it looks like the bus station isn't the main stop serving the railway station as although it is physically close, a detour is required to reach it and involves passing the bus stops outside of the station car park which would be considered as serving the station and if this is the case then we remain at Bletchley railway station at 0914 on Thursday. However I will call a HOLD here to give an opportunity for access to the bus station from the railway to be clarified.

Looking at the maps on traveline southeast it looks as though I was wrong as to where the station exit is - I thought there was one on the east side of the station to Saxon Way opposite the bus station but the only exit is to the west towards Bletchley Park from where it's a 7 minute walk to the bus station

The only service actually to serve the station is the 24/25. All others are a greater or lesser distance away.

So If I'm now permitted we'll take the 0931 24 departure to the bus station (Bletchley) arriving at 0933 Thursday morning. This particular departure is operated by Vale Travel

That service arrives there at that stop in Towcester at 1122...the 1133 arrival time is at the next settlement of Blisworth. However I will use Towcester (opp Brave Old Oak) as my starting point...

We have some time to partake of refreshments at Towcester until it is time to return back to the same bus stop where we board the 1222 Stagecoach in Northants service 89 to Northampton (Greyfriars Bus Station) that arrives there at 1258 on Thursday afternoon.

We next catch National Express 305 service that departs at 1335 and travel to Warrington Scotland Road, arriving at 1900 Thursday evening

We find that the local bus service frequency has dropped at this time of the evening, so we patiently await the arrival of the 1947 Network Warrington service 27 to Risley Moss (Ordnance Avenue) that arrives there at 2025 on Thursday evening.

Fearing it was all a big mistake to land up in what feels like the middle of nowhere, we catch the 27 service back at 2030 after it's been to Gorse Covert. Gaining confidence, we get off in Cinnamon Brow (because we like the name) arriving in Crab Lane, Braemar Close at 2047. Thursday evening

As time is getting late, we decide to return to a somewhat larger transport hub so after patiently biding our time, we board the 2146 Network Warrington service 27 to Warrington bus station that arrives there at 2206 on Thursday evening.

We are fearful of being accused of it not being the same stop if we walk to Central station and having missed the last bus for the 30 second ride to get there, we take the Warrington Coachways 37A departure at 2245 for Altrincham Interchange, arriving at 2324 Thursday evening

(Are there really 2 2245 departures on the 37A on slightly different routes?)

We now have a choice of transport modes; though services at this time of night are dwindling. Never mind we pass the tram platforms as we head for the railway platform and join the 23:43 Northern service and travel through to its destination at Chester arriving at 00:40 on Friday morning.

We now appear to have missed any onward rail connections in any direction, but we look for the first early morning rail journey available on the information boards and having established that there is one, we make ourselves as comfortable as possible until it is time for us to board the 0422 ATW service to Wolverhampton that arrives there at 0539 on Friday morning.

We continue on the 0547 Virgin departure to North Wales, getting off at Llandudno Junction at 0732.

Hoping to have managed a first class ticket and a good breakfast en route

We next take a scenic rail ride up the branch line and board the 0738 ATW service to Blaenau Ffestiniog that arrive there at 0842 on Friday morning

Unfortunately it's far too long a wait for the heritage steam service, so we make do with Express Motors 1B service from the Queens Hotel at 0925, travelling to Porthmadog High Street, arriving at 0952, Friday morning

In time for the steam back - or on - hint hint

Indeed, being a Friday, it is a good time to avail ourselves of the services of a well-respected narrow gauge railway with excellant scenic views to be had, so we board the 1015 Ffestiniog Railway service to its terminus at Blaenau Ffestiniog that arrives there at 1130 on Friday morning.

We decide to head over to Porthmadog Harbour station on the Ffestiniog railway, where we climb on board the 10:15 Ffestiniog railway service all the way to Blaenau Ffestiniog. After a lovely scenic journey we arrive into Blaenau Ffestiniog at 11:30.

Just beaten to it.
