We decide to change our mode of travel and walk to Pool Meadow bus station where we board the 1015 Thandi Coaches service 8 to Leicester St Margarets bus station that arrives there at 1130 on Tuesday morning.

We wander over to the Railway station to board the 12:18 XC service to Ely Ariving there at 13:52 Tuesday Afternooon

Leaving the railway station, we walk to the bus stop on Broad Street where we board the 1432 Stagecoach in Cambridge service 9 to Chatteris (East Park Street) that arrives there at 1510 on Tuesday afternoon.

Another bus journey now follows, this time the 1542 Stagecoach in the Fens route 35 service to Huntingdon Bus Station arrinvg at 1634 on Tuesday.

We then go to the railway station to board the 17:00 FCC service to Finsbury Park arriving there at 17:53 Tuesday Afternoon

Moving to the underground station, we board the 1806 Victoria Line service to Brixton underground station that arrives there at 1828 on Tuesday afternoon.

From here we continue by bus on the 1842 London bus route 322 (operated by Abellio London) service to Crystal Palace Parade arriving at 1913 on Tuesday.

We now take the 1920 Route Bus service 3 to Oxford Circus that arrives there at 1939 on Tuesday evening.

Time now to head east on the 1950 London Bus route 25 (operated by First London) to Ilford High Road Hainault Street arriving at 2113 on Tuesday.

Deciding upon a change of mode of travel, we take the short walk to the railway station, where we board the 2136 GA service to Shenfield that arrives there at 2203 on Tuesday evening.

After trainspotting in the night, we board the 22:41 Greater Anglia Service to Clacton-on-Sea Arriving there at 23:44 Tuesday Night

We decide to seek overnight accommodation and after a relaxing sleep and a good breakfast, we return to the railway station, not to continue by rail, but to board the 0642 Hedingham Omnibuses service 2 to Mistley (Rigby Avenue) that arrives there at 0733 on Wednesday morning.

Foiled! I fancied getting the 08:15 coach to Liverpool.....

Second breakfast in Mistley (the B and B only gave me a little box of cornflakes owing to the unearthly hour) then the 09:25 to the metropolis of Ipswich arriving 10:35

Running to get out of Ipswich asap, we arrive at the railway station, we then board the 11:17 Greater Anglia service to Beccles arriving there at 12:25 Wednesday Afternoon

We walk from the railway station to the bus stop on Old Market Place and board the 1240 Anglian Bus and Coach service 146 to Norwich bus station that arrives there at 1320 on Wednesday afternoon.

Being mindful of an earler missed opportunity (see above) to access the north-west, we now have but a short wait to put matters right, so we board the 1357 EMT service to Widnes that arrives there at 1905 on Wednesday evening.

Indeed, Just don't go doing it in real life expecting it to show up, the new fangled gas buses don't seem to be very reliable.

Anyways, on with the game on board the 19:11 EMT service to Manchester Piccadilly arriving there at 19:41 Wenesday evening (Although if looking to do this journey cheapley, National Rail Enquiries show the 21:55 service costing just £1.)

Staying with the lure of the omnibus, we decide to spurn the offered opportunity of rail travel to other areas and decide to further explore what this region offers and in particular, a town that is famous for a certain delicacy, so we then board the 1230 TM Travel service 218 to Bakewell (Buxton Road) that arrives there at 1315 on Thursday afternoon.

We have 50 minutes to spend in Bakewell before boarding the 1405 Hulleys of Baslow bus route 173 service to Castleton adj Bus Station arriving at 1455 on Thursday.

Maybe time for taking in some of the local scenery (or a few beers in a local pub) before joining Hulleys of Baslow Route 272 at Castleton Bus Station departing at 1700 to Bamford Station, arriving there at 1719 Thursday afternoon.
