All that hard work with a most full descriptive posting....then you forgot to put the day at the end of your posting:cry:

We are indeed fortunate to find an onward connection with only a few minutes to wait and we board the 2106 First Potteries service 32 to Cheadle Town Centre (High Street) that arrives there at 2131 on Wednesday evening.

Having spent the night in an unspecified manner.....

I can recommend an excellent hotel with a long historical connection to the early days of the railway at Fleetwood with sea views...The North Euston Hotal...where my wife and I have visited many times. It has an excellent restaurant.--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

We spend a pleasant time viewing the River Wyre and the sea whilst awaiting the next available bus that leaves from the area opposite what was once the station building of the Knott End and Garstang Railway (famed for "The Pilling Pig"), then we board the 0938 Stagecoach in Lancashire service 89 to Glasson Dock (Swingbridge) that arrives at 1015 on Friday morning.

After a walk around the dock we board the 10:57 Stagecoach service 89 at Glasson Dock and head back to Knott End for 11:36. Here the bus changes to service 86 and departs at 11:40 to take us on to Cleveleys bus station for 12:20.

We've had enough of the attractions of the Fylde, so we continue on the 1352 Northern train and travel to Rose Grove, arriving 1509 Friday afternoon

The name of Rose Grove gives an impression of somewhere out of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", but this is not really the case, as we find out when walking around the area, so we decide to sample the local buses and board the 1601 Tyrer Tours service 65 to Burnley bus station that arrives there at 1610 on Friday afternoon.

Did you appreciate my recommendation for the North Euston Hotel at Fleetwood.....:D

...................................................................................

After such a day as Friday, we need the comfort of a hotel bed and we book an early morning call which enables us to return to the railway station and we board the 0527 EMT service to London St Pancras International that arrives at 0734 on Saturday morning.
