We take a short walk around this resort then return to catch the 1730 EYMS service 121 to Beverley bus station that arrives there at 1835 on Sunday evening.

We catch the 1929 Northern Rail service to Meadowhall, arriving at 2127, Sunday evening

Late hours on a Sunday night on a station is not the best place to be and we are fortunate to be able to board the 2142 Northern service to Sandal & Agbrigg that arrives there at 2223 on Sunday night.

However we walk to the nearby A61 road and catch an Arriva 195 bus at 2232 to Wakefield Bus Station arriving at 2240 Sunday evening.

We decide to move to the Midlands and wait for the 0005 National Express service 240 to East Midlands Airport (Terminal Building) that arrives there at 0215 on Monday morning

We remember that the Skylink service runs throughout the night, so we board the 0257 Kinchbus Skylink to Kegworth Square, arriving at 0304, Monday morning.

At that time of the morning, it is far too late to book in anywhere, so we resign ourself to staying at the bus stop and waiting for the next service, which is the 0404 Kinchbus Skylink service to Leicester St Margarets bus station at 0443 on Monday morning.

We wait around for the National Express 767 coach at 0625, alighting in Luton New Bedford Road at 0810, Monday morning

We decide to change the mode of travel and join with the Monday morning commuters taking the short walk to the railway station, which gives us plenty of time to board the 0848 FCC service to St Albans that arrives there at 0902 on Monday morning.

We catch the Greenline bus 724 outside the station and get off at St Albans Abbey Station dep 0913 arr 0919 Monday morning

We realise that we do not often use the short railway service offered by the Abbey Line, so we make our way into the railway station and await the arrival of the 1007 LM service to Watford Junction that arrives there at 1023 on Monday morning.

We catch the 1051 Southern service and travel through to South Croydon arriving 1201 Monday morning

Another short rail journey beckons us and we board the 1216 Southern service to Caterham that arrives at 1235 on Monday afternoon.

We catch the Abellio 407 bus at 1248 which meanders its way across Surrey to Sutton Marshalls Road, eventually arriving at 1409, Monday afternoon

This is really the time to look around for (and really enjoy), a late mid-day meal, as we have some time to spare, before we go to the stop on the other side of the road, where it meets Grove Road and board the 1450 London Bus service X26 to Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station that arrives at 1600 on Monday afternoon.

We catch the Heathrow Connect at 1627 to West Ealing, arriving 1641, Monday afternoon

A local rail service now is useful at this time of the day, so we board the 1657 FGW service to Greenford that arrives at 1709 on Monday afternoon.

We get the 92 First Centrewest bus at 1717 to Sudbury and Harrow Road station, arriving 1734, Monday afternoon

What a treat...the so-called "least-used" railway station in London, that has peak-hour services, which is fortunate for us arriving at this time on a weekday, so we enter the station to catch the first possible train to anywhere before having to settle for another bus journey and we board the 1840 Chiltern service to South Ruislip that arrives there at 1849 on Monday evening.

In to the station, on to platform 1....then we board the 2014 FCC service to Herne Hill that arrives there at 2057 on Monday evening.

We spend 30 minutes time on the station before deciding still to stay with rail as a mode of travel and board the 2145 SE service to Orpington that arrives at 2202 on Monday night.

We decide to head for the coast, catching the SE train at 2209 for St Leonards Warrior Square, arriving at 2324, Monday evening

At this time of night and having made the journeys we traversed, we decide a good night's sleep is called for and we book into a small hotel and ask that we receive an alarm call at 0430, as we have a very early train to catch in the morning......everything goes to plan and we return back at the railway station in good time to board the 0509 SN service to Plumpton that arrives at 0613 on Tuesday morning.

We have a little while to wait until the local bus service groans into action, but eventually get the Countryliner 166 bus from opposite the Winning Post, Plumpton Green on Station Road to Haywards Heath Perrymount Road, arriving at 0812 Tuesday morning

Time to join the early morning commuters in a hot drink in the café then we board the 0907 Metrobus service 272 to Three Bridges railway station that arrives there at 0938 on Tuesday morning
