A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Time to call it a day and take an overnight rest, so wishing to travel by bus to an iconic location rather than taking another train ride, we leave the station and at the bus stop on the station forecourt, we next board the 0645 Reading Buses service 500 to Reading (Huntley & Palmers (stop 1) that arrives there at 0654 on Monday

I wouldn't personally describe Reading as iconic, but each to their own :D

We take the eleven minute/0.5 mile walk to the railway station and, seeking a desire to explore the New Forest, board the 0752 CrossCountry service 1O02 to Brockenhurst, arriving there at 0900 on Monday.

That arrival time affords an excellent opportunity to board the 0910 South Western Railway service to Lymington Pier that arrives there at 0920 on Monday.

Rather disappointed that the Isle of Wight last visit was so very short and missed most of the island's places of interest.
