Leaving the station, we take the five minute walk to the White Swan and board the 0852 Stagecoach South Coastliner service 700 to Portsmouth (Mile End Road/Charles Dickens' Birthplace), arriving there at 0935 on Sunday.

Almost immediately, we hop on the 0948 PR1 Park and Ride service to Portsmouth Harbour Station, arriving at 0958, and a (hopefully) beautiful view over the harbour and (maybe) time for a quick Fish and Chips stop for a mid morning snack.

Well. An interesting predicament here if I remember rightly. There is a long term closure of Ryde Pier Head station but I believe the walk to the Esplanade and bus station is just within the permitted 0.5 mile* boundary, so on that basis we board the 1015 Wightlink Ferry service to Ryde Pier Head, arriving there at 1037 on Sunday.

* Edit - it is indeed, 11 minutes/0.5 miles.

Because we can't be bothered to do that walk, we then get the 1047 Island Line Replacement Bus service 0B00 to Ryde Esplanade, arriving at 1050 Sunday morning.
