Blackpool area is certainly somewhere we gravitate towards regularly! My Grandparents used to live next to Ansdell & Fairhaven station on the Blackpool South line.

And as if by another bout of magic...

We continue on the 2313 Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire service 68 to Ansdell, St Joseph's Church arriving at 2335 on Friday

With the only alternative at this hour being a further journey on the 11-series, we decide to take advantage of the overnight ruling. In the morning we head to the Ansdell Library stop, a 5 minute walk from our alighting point, where we await Preston Bus service 78 at 0644. We alight at Kirkham Railway Station at 0721 on Saturday.

Indeed. Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool and Margate seem to be the go to at the moment.

We take the 0907 Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire service 125 to Horwich, Bank Top Brewery Ale House arriving at 1040 on Saturday morning.
We next board the 1055 Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire service 125 to Bolton (Noel Street), arriving there at 1117 on Saturday.

We are all bussed out for the time being. Seeing as we have an opportunity here to take an alternative mode of transport, we next enter the Metrolink station and board the 1330 Metrolink Green Line service to Sale, arriving there at 1423 on Saturday.

Time for an overnight break and with no early public transport on a Sunday we have plenty of time for breakfast before entering the station for the first train of the day the 09.50 TfW service to Crewe arriving at 11.02 on Sunday.

Sadly, the ten minute minimum connection time prevents us from being able to use the Edinburgh or the Swansea service, so we board the 1113 London Northwestern Railway service 1U28 to Lichfield Trent Valley, arriving there at 1149 on Sunday.

That would have been torture waiting at Bournville for nearly an hour smelling all that chocolate :D

Sadly no buses serve Bromsgrove station on a Sunday, so we remain with the trains. We next board the 1542 West Midlands Railway service 2G31 to Five Ways, arriving there at 1609 on Sunday.

Once again we've ended up at a station with no other bus services in the area on a Sunday (the 6 runs on a Sunday but the nearest stop is over a mile away) so we remain with the rails. We next board the 1713 West Midlands Railway service 2R35 to Duddeston, arriving there at 1738 on Sunday.
