Repeating a real life journey that I did last week (caught the train from London to Uckfield as I'd never done it before and then got the bus to Brighton!), we return in the morning to the bus stop outside the station for the 0852 Brighton & Hove Regency service 29A to Moulsecoomb (Moulsecoomb Way), arriving there at 0935 on Sunday.

Surprised that only a 6-minute minimum connection applies at this major station.
About right for a station of that size. It's only got 6 platforms.

We just have time to board the 1848 Great Western Railway service to Okehampton that arrives there at 1924 on Sunday.
With buses having finished for the day already, we return on the 1929 Great Western Railway service 2E64 to Crediton, arriving there at 1953 on Sunday.

Should read service 21.

Well this is annoying... As it is guaranteed the same vehicle departing at 0905, we only have until 1105 to depart. The first eastbound Exmoor Coaster doesn't get here until 1116. Therefore we head west on the 0905 departure on Stagecoach South West service 301, from which we alight in the outskirts of Ilfracombe at Chambercombe (Hele Bay Hotel) at 0927 on Monday.

I actually boarded a 301 at the Scarlet Pimpernel Garage just 3 weeks ago, but heading the other way after a trip on the EXMO from Hobourne...

Entering the station we depart at 1456 on GWR's 2C77 towards Penzance. We alight at Saltash at 1655 on Monday.

Two hours on an IET on a class 2 long-distance stopper. Madness...

That appears to be it for the day and with no bus stops within a mile of the terminal we have no choice but to wait for the first boat back to the Padstow Ferry Landing at 08.00 on Tuesday arriving at 08.10.

Well that was a let down!

We next take the nine minute/0.4 mile walk back to the bus terminus, where, seeking a longer distance bus ride, board the 0937 Go Cornwall service 11 right through to its terminus of Plymouth (Royal Parade), arriving there at 1217 on Tuesday.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We enter the station, remembering that all three intermediate stations on this branch line are request stops, giving a clear signal to the driver and board the 1730 Great Western Railway service to St Keyne Wishing Well Halt, having notified the train staff, that arrives there at 1737 on Tuesday.

Sadly, the village is almost a mile away from the station and with no buses nearby we're very limited here to what we can do. We don't wish to backtrack towards Looe so we instead wait for the 1942 Great Western Railway service 2L94 to Liskeard, arriving there at 1958 on Tuesday.

Apart from the 73/73A all other bus routes are just out of range so we stay on the trains and take the 20.13 CrossCountry service to Penzance arriving at 21.31 on Tuesday.

I wondered if anyone would spot that move.

We leave the station and from bus stop H take the 05.19 Stagecoach London service N205 to Leyton, Drapers Field arriving at 06.17 on Wednesday.
