Only bugger with Burnley! One of the bus stops is just, by the skin of the teeth, within range of Manchester Road station, but can't remember which one!

In the morning we return for the 0638 Blackburn Bus Company Hotline service 152 to Frenchwood (Queen Street), arriving there at 0741 on Wednesday morning.

We cross the road and wait for the 0815 Vision Bus service 113 to Bamber Bridge, Hospital Inn arriving at 0831 on Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately only the 113 is available here being out of range of the railway station so we continue on the 09.09 service to Towngate, Tesco arriving at 09.51 on Wednesday.

We next board the 1015 Preston Bus service 114 to Chorley (Bus Station), arriving there at 1100 on Wednesday morning.

We enter the nearby railway station and take the 12.38 TPE service to Edinburgh alighting at Carlisle at 14.10 on Wednesday.

Onward from Carlisle on the 1441 Northern train service to remote Braystones, arriving 1606 (Wednesday). Don't think we've ever boarded or alighted there before!

I think we have, mainly because it's a tricky one! (It's actually the only Cumbrian Coast station i've not boarded or alighted at).

No other options here than to wait for the next service, so we board the 1834 Northern service to Seascale arriving at 1843 on Wednesday.

Again there are no bus connections so we wait for the next southbound train the 19.31 Northern service to Barrow in Furness arriving at 20.36 on Wednesday.

Little choice here but to stay on the trains so we next take the 21.49 Northern service to Preston alighting at Lancaster at 22.46 on Wednesday.

We spend the night in Carnforth where we board the 05:33 Nothern service 2C99 to Morecambe, arriving there at 05:46 on Thursday morning.

We make the 2 minute walk to the bus station and catch the 0600 Stagecoach service 40 to Cabus, Station Lane arriving at 0642 on Thursday morning.

We make the 5 minute, 0.2 mile walk to St Annes On The Sea railway station and back onto the Blackpool South line where we had only been a few days previously. We wait for the 1038 Northern service to Kirkham & Wesham arriving at 1057 on Thursday morning.

Got a bit lucky as it was the first train that pulled in when I got to Southport! Fresh from the depot due to the train that broke down at Liverpool Central! That was about 15:00 on Saturday!
