We walk 100 yards to the Transport Hub, taking advantage of the overnight rule, and catch what seems to be the first service out, the 05:38 Go North East service 307 to Newcastle upon Tyne, Haymarket Bus Station, where we arrive at 06:25 on Monday morning.

Wee cross over to Eldon Square Bus Station and take the 06.30 Stagecoach North East service 685 to Carlisle Bus Station arriving at 09.00 on Monday.

We walk for 6 minutes (0.3 mile) to the railway station where we board the 1013 Northern service to  Nethertown arriving at 1140 on Monday morning.

Extremely limited service here and to avoid doubling back towards Carlisle, despite where the next two trains head, wait for the 1603 Northern service 2C30 to Carnforth, arriving there at 1810 on Monday evening.

We leave the station and take the 19.12 Stagecoach C&NL service 555 to Kendal Bus Station arriving at 20.07 on Monday.

With the next bus not until midnight we take the six minute walk to the railway station and take the last train of the day the 22.51 Northern service to Barrow in Furness arriving at 23.13 on Monday.
