We take the twelve minute/0.5 mile walk to Canterbury East station and board the 0845 Southeastern service 1P19 to London Victoria, arriving there at 1021 on Tuesday morning.
We exit the station and board the 1457 Abellio service 196 to Upper Norwood (Beulah Hill/All Saints Church), arriving there at 1557 on Tuesday afternoon.
In a desperate attempt to ensure we don't sway back towards East Sussex, we enter the railway station opposite and board the 1758 Great Western Railway service 2V01 to Farnborough North, arriving there at 1905 on Tuesday evening.
Annoyingly there are no bus routes nearby and we are just out of range of Farnborough (Main) station so with no alternative other than back tracking we take the following 19.34 GWR service to Reading alighting at Wokingham at 19.52 on Tuesday.
We walk to Sainbury's (8 min / 0.4 mile) where we board Reading Buses Yellow Line service 26 at 2246. We alight at Reading, Friar St at 2307 on Tuesday.
With services being very limited on the Heart of Wales Line, we are grateful to have been deposited to one of the stations that isn't too isolated, so we take the five minute walk to the bus station and board the 0945 Minsterley Motors service 740 to Ludlow (Assembly Rooms), arriving there at 1040 on Wednesday morning.
Thankful for the overnight travel ruling, we next board the 0705 Lloyds Coaches service T2 to Caernarfon (Bus Station) that arrives there at 0855 on Thursday morning.
