Remembering that a hospital A&E department is a good place to pass a few hours away without being bothered, we use this to pass away the night and then return to the opposite bus stop to where we arrived and board the 0637 Go North West service 35 to Marsland Green (the bus stop opposite Leigh Cemetery on Manchester Road) that arrives there at 0709 on Tuesday morning.

Becoming tired of buses and seeking an alternative mode of transport, we take the nine minute/0.4 mile walk to Navigation Road tram stop and board the 1056 Metrolink service to Abraham Moss, arriving there at 1135 on Tuesday morning.

We take the five minute walk to the Abraham Moss Centre bus stops and take the 12.37 Stotts Tours service 151 to Ashton under Lyne Interchange arriving at 13.55 on Tuesday.

We exit to the light rail stop and board the 1717 Supertram Purple Line service to Herdings - Leighton Road, arriving there at 1734 on Tuesday afternoon.

Trying not to return immediately to central Sheffield we walk (9 mins / 0.4 mile) to the Herdings (Raeburn Rd / Raeburn Close) terminus of First South Yorkshire's service 1A, which we board at 1753. We alight at Ecclesfield (Church St / Whitley Lane) at 1846 on Tuesday.

Sidenote: did not realise the Purple Line is only hourly most of the day! I wouldn't exactly call that efficient but if that's all it needs, then so be it!

We take the three minute walk to The Common, where we board the 1912 Stagecoach South Yorkshire service 1 to Jordanthorpe (Hazlebarrow Road/Ormond Way), arriving there at 2007 on Tuesday morning.
