We take the nine minute walk to Vale Gate, where we are just in time for the 1727 Cardiff Bus service 96 to Barry (Hanover Street), arriving there at 1807 on Tuesday evening.

We walk for 5 minutes to Holton Rd Shops where we board Adventure Travel service 304 at 1857. We alight at East Aberthaw (Blue Anchor) at 1936 on Tuesday.

This connects perfectly as we enter the station and board the 2056 Transport for Wales service 2A68 to Taffs Well, arriving there at 2202 on Tuesday evening.

We then take the last Tuesday evening train service from Taffs Well for Bridgend at 2219 and alight at Rhoose Cardiff International Airport at 2312 to go plane spotting.

You also need to specify the arrival time (2312 in this case).


Well if you believe Taffs Well has very few services this late, you sure as hell won't find many places at this time of the night (Cardiff has already seen a drastic reduction in flights post-COVID anyway!), so we take the five minute walk to the bus stop opposite Station Road on Rhoose Road and board the 2332 Adventure Travel service 304 to Grangetown (Avondale Gardens), arriving there at 0047 on Wednesday morning.

That seemed to be the final bus journey on a most eventful days travelling on this quiz, so we take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and next board the 0501 Adventure Travel service 304 to Llantwit Major (Interchange on Le Pouliguen Way) that arrives at 0630 on Wednesday morning.

Heading to the eastern side of the city rather than the Vale of Glamorgan or the Valleys side, we next exit the station and take the four minute walk to Churchill Way, where we board the 1215 Cardiff Bus service 45 to St Mellons (Police Station), arriving there at 1249 on Wednesday afternoon.
