We next board the 2027 Northern Trains service to Bamber Bridge that arrives there at 2051 on Thursday evening.

Not permitted. This is the same train which arrives and departs from Church & Oswaltwistle at 20.27

Would that be caused by the reason why in a previous posting, the travellers disembarked at 2017, some ten minutes earlier.

Can someone explain have you can disembark from a train at a station at 2017 which does not arrive until 2027, some ten minutes later.

It's not; as already stated in Post #38285, the wrong arrival time was stated. Although in some situations you have to wait for a path for an incoming train (not that that applies here in this instance).

Well, to save striking through all the posts, shall we make Post #38279 a journey from Nelson straight to Bamber Bridge, instead of Church & Oswaldtwistle? And then Post #38281 can continue? A little unfair as CTW was desired, but otherwise we'd have to wait for the following service onto Bamber Bridge and then the next 125 onto Bolton?
