Although there are night buses available they only take us back to Gloucester so we take advantage of the overnight rule and return for the 06.42 Stagecoach West service 51 to Swindon Bus Station arriving at 0845 on Friday.

A perfect connection as we enter the railway station adjacent and board the 1529 Transport for Wales service 1I24 to Birmingham International, arriving there at 1852 on Friday evening.

Well that's it for the rest of the night (probably one or two buses running but not really worth it), so we return in the morning for the 0542 South Western Railway service 1W92 to Hamworthy, arriving there at 0618 on Saturday morning.

We take the eleven minute/0.5 mile walk to WestQuay, where we board the 0907 Unilink service U1A to University of Southampton (Highfield Interchange), arriving there at 0928 on Saturday morning.

Not too many options here so we take the next Unilink U1A at 09.52 to Southampton Airport Parkway arriving at 10.03 on Saturday.

We go to Continental Port stand A and take the 14.05 Stagecoach South service 700 to Chichester Bus Station arriving at 15.10 on Saturday.

The norm from here at the Marina usually involves taking the nine minute walk up to Marine Gate and getting the 12X to Eastbourne, and then subsequently drifting onwards to Kent for days, so we instead head the other direction from Marine Gate and board the 2021 Brighton & Hove service 27 to Westdene (Tongdean Lane West), arriving there at 2046 on Saturday evening.
