A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Still stuck with the 2 here, and, not wishing to double back once again towards Newton Abbot, we next board the 1359 Stagecoach South West service 2 to Countess Weir (InFocus), arriving there at 1407 on Thursday.
OBSERVATION AND COMMENT

When I planned the journey to Exminster (Victory Hall) on the number 2, it was in the knowledge that service B also used that particular bus stop with a regular service provision. Have there been changes made that now obviates that?

The B does still serve there; I'd suggest @ValleyLines142 overlooked it.
With the 2B having become the B2, and then being cancelled, it may well be that there was confusion over the B itself... I know I got caught out last time we went to Exminster!!!

I'm not sure, however I can't see any departures for the B.

re the Exminster B, it is odd, as it isn't on Google, but the Stagecoach website shows it running every 30 mins, with a TT dated from last weekend (it forms a 15 min frequency with the 2). V Odd.

Anyway, leaving Exminster behind...

We leave Churston at 1802 on Stagecoach Devon service 13, alighting at Brixham Town Square (stop A) at 1806 on Thursday.

We continue west on Stagecoach South West service GOLD at 2104. Noting that this (and the X38) service's entrance to Plymouth is now via the new Sherford development, rather than Marsh Mills. We therefore alight at Elburton (Reservoir Rd) at 2142 on Thursday.

Remarkably impressed that such a service runs so late going all the way to Cornwall in the evening, it is of no surprise that we remain stranded here for the rest of the night, so we return in the morning for the 0605 Stagecoach South West service 6 to Okehampton (Railway Station), arriving there at 0715 on Friday morning.

Remembering not to use today's real-day bank holiday timetables, we leave on Stagecoach South West service E2 at 1102, alighting at Pinhoe Railway Station at 1132 on Friday.

Frustratingly, both services in each direction cross each other and depart two minutes after at 34 minutes past the hour, so we wait for the 1234 South Western Railway service 1L48 to Woking, arriving there at 1515 on Friday afternoon.

Still fortunate enough to be blessed with one more service for the evening, and booked to have a fifteen minute layover here, we next board the 2343 Southern service 2S95 to Fishersgate, arriving there at 0019 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
