We exit the station and cross over to the Erith Town Centre/Cross Street bus stop (which, hilariously, is actually on Bexley Road), where we board the 0055 London Central service N89 (the longest London night bus route at almost 21 miles!) to Blackheath (Shooters Hill Road/Kidbrooke Park Road), arriving there at 0128 on Thursday morning.

Night tubes only run Friday and Saturday mornings as far as I can tell, so we remain with road transport as we board the 0221 London General service N87 to Kingston (Tiffin Boys School), arriving there at 0311 on Thursday morning.

We enter the station and board Transport for London's 0530 District Line service to Paddington, arriving at 0555 on Thursday.

Or not, there's a five minute minimum connection time. Instead I suggest the TfL's 0543 Circle line service to Paddington, arriving at 0607 on Thursday but if someone else would like to make another move that's fine.

Happy to be in Gloucestershire, but it isn't often that we get to waddle around in actual central London...!

We are almost in real time 8-)

We walk (4 min / 0.2 mile) to the Elgin Mall stop on Bath Rd (which doesn't appear to actually be near a Mall) where at 0818 we board Stagecoach West service 65 (assuming that the vehicle hasn't been nicked for the Cheltenham Festival!!!). We alight at Dursley (Sainsburys) at 0845 on Thursday.

Lol
Pipped on exactly the same journey !!!

Deciding against a further train journey, and noting that the town centre is about a mile away, we take the only possible bus by walking (8 min / 0.4 mile) to the Cemetery bus stop on Church Rd. There we take in the sights for a good while, while we await the 1851 Newport Bus service 72, from which we alight at Chepstow Bus Station at 1915 on Thursday.

Confusingly on bustimes.org and Google Maps that stop seems to be called Parc Taw (near New Cut Road)! The timings on there match up exactly with First's website, which calls it The Strand (Morfa Rd Jnc).

We take an eight minute / 0.4 mile (very indirect, or at least the route Google Maps suggests) to Swansea rail station and board the 0008 Transport for Wales service to Carmarthen, arriving at 0102 on early Friday morning.

With no other onward travel options, our only available choice is to take the 1019 First Cymru service 74 to Bridgend Bus Station, Stand 2. We alight at 1100 on Friday morning.
