We continue on the 1313 Scotrail service to Laurencekirk arriving at 1358 on Saturday.

Services here are a little limited despite mainline trains going through, so we wait for the 1455 ScotRail service 2B30 to Montrose, arriving there at 1507 on Saturday afternoon.

We take the 1533 LNER service to Berwick Upon Tweed arriving at 1815 on Saturday.

Leaving from the station bus stop at 1825 on Arriva North East service X18, we alight at Craster (The Heugh) at 1952 on Saturday.

That would seem to be it for the night so we return the following morning. It's quite some time until the first southbound bus so we return north On the 0847 Arriva Northumbria service X18 to Beal, Filling Station arriving at 0951 on Sunday morning.

Conscious of the fact that there are only three services a day from here on a Sunday, and wishing to embark on the chance to take a long distance journey on a local bus service, we next board the 1037 Arriva North East Max service X18 to Gosforth (Regent Centre Interchange), arriving there at 1401 on Sunday afternoon.

We enter the Regent Centre Metro station, and depart at 1415 on Metro route Green, alighting at Sunderland (Tyne & Wear metro station) at 1457 on Sunday.

We exit the station onto Fawcett Street and there board the 1512 Go North East Cityrider service 56 to Newcastle (Monument/Market Street), arriving there at 1617 on Sunday afternoon.

It's half a mile (10 mins) to the railway station, so we head there and await 1V68, Cross Country's 1640 service towards Plymouth. We alight at Totnes at 2317 on Sunday.

We return the following morning for the 0551 Cross Country service to Burton Upon Trent arriving at 0924 on Monday morning.

We next board the 0941 CrossCountry service 1V48 to Bristol Temple Meads, arriving at 1131 on Monday Morning.

We exit the station onto Temple Gate where we board the 1140 First West of England Aquae service X39 to Newton St Loe (The Globe), arriving there at 1209 on Monday afternoon.

Next we take the 1223 Bath Bus Company service A4 to Bristol Airport Bus Station arriving there at 1316 on Monday.

We next board the 1350 Stagecoach South West Falcon service to Exeter (Sowton Park and Ride), arriving there at 1550 on Monday afternoon.

We take 9 minutes to walk the 0.4 mile to Digby & Sowton railway station, from where we board 2T25, GWR's 1614 service towards Paignton. We alight at Exeter Central at 1622 on Monday.

Next we take the 1632 Great Western Railway service to Okehampton arriving there at 1715 on Monday.

Its over an hour's wait for the first bus to anywhere here so we return on the 1725 Great Western Railway service 2R61 to Crediton, arriving there at 1748 on Monday afternoon.

GWR's 2B83 at 1835 takes us to Barnstaple at 1931 on Monday.

We exit the station and board the 1939 Stagecoach South West service 21A to Bideford (Quay), arriving there at 2003 on Monday evening.

We continue on the 2036 Stagecoach South West service 21 to Westward Ho! The Links arriving at 2044 on Monday.

We next board the 2058 Stagecoach South West service 21 to Ilfracombe (St James Place Gardens), arriving there at 2222 on Monday evening.

Our only option at this time of night is to head back towards Barnstaple on Stagecoach South West service 21. The journey at 2223 is probably the same vehicle, but I doubt it is guaranteed, therefore we depart at 2323 and head to Barnstaple, Bus Station where we arrive at 0001 on Tuesday morning.

We wait overnight and head for the Railway Station to wait for the 0625 Great Western Railway service to Morchard Road arriving at 0700 on Tuesday morning.

We walk to the Devonshire Dumpling (3 min / 0.1 mile) where we await Plymouth Citybus, t/a Go Devon Bus, service 377 at 0717.
We alight at Crediton, Memorial at 0731 on Tuesday.

Sadly a little too far from the railway station so we will await the 0757 Dartline Coaches service 369 to Newton St Cyres, Primary School arriving at 0806 on Tuesday morning.

Also too far away from the station here, but all is well as we move away from north Devon and board the 0813 Stagecoach South West service 5 to Exeter (Portland House), arriving there at 0830 on Tuesday morning.

We take the 4 min (0.2 mile) walk to teh eastern entrance to Exeter Central station, from where we board 1L30, Soouth Western Railway's 0930 service towards London. We alight at Andover at 1137 on Tuesday.
