Interestingly, that takes in a new bit of bus route, linking Ivybridge with the new development of Sherford on the way in to Plymouth.
We walk to Charles St (Stop C2) (4 mins) where we board Stagecoach South West service 1 at 1722 (ignoring the 1707 short working). We alight at Yelverton (Roundabout) at 1759 on Friday.

Unbelievably, the only service operating for the rest of the evening is Stagecoach South West's 1, so we have no option but to use it again - leaving on it at 1900. We alight at Derriford Hospital (Stand 1) at 1929 on Friday.

Everything from the river up to the line of the old Stonehouse Creek (my old school playing field!) is technically East Stonehouse, one of the Three Towns that made up Plymouth (Sutton, East Stonehouse and Devonport). The Royal William Victualling Yard was certainly always considered part of it when I grew up there...
We are a lillte bit limited here, but the Stonehouse Bridge / Brewery Tap bus stops on Edgcumbe St are *just* 0.5 mile from the northern end of this bus stop, so we can head there (11 min walk). We leave the Brewery Tap stop at 2020 on Plymouth Citybus service Spark 21, alighting at St Budeaux (Square) at 2034 on Friday.

We next board the 2205 Plymouth Citybus service 43 to Ernesettle (West Malling Avenue), arriving there at 2230 on Friday evening.

I'm going to push the boundaries of the rules here. 
The next bus we can get through here is the next 43 in one hour, which puts us past the 2300 time from which we can invoke the overnight rule, so I'm going to do exactly that.
However, by then walking the 7 minutes (0.3 miles) to 'Bull & Bush' we can board Plymouth Citybus service 84 at 0040 (now that's a weird route - basically a publically advertised Citybus staff shuttle...) from which we alight at Devonport (Torpoint Ferry) at 0059 on Saturday morning.

Unfortunately I guess we can't use the 0645 bus within the rules, even though it would appear to be timetabled to meet the craft, so we will wait for the 0755 Go Cornwall Bus service 70A to Plymouth Railway Station arriving at 0923 on Saturday morning.
