We take a different mode of transport now as we walk across to the light rail platforms and board the 0839 Edinburgh Trams service to Murrayfield Stadium, arriving there at 0848 on Wednesday morning.

We then walk 7 minutes / 0.3 miles to Roseburn Gardens, which we would then catch the Scottish Citylink 900 to Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station (Stance 49) at 0900, arriving there at 1008 on Wednesday morning.

Anyway, we take the 8 minute (0.4 mile) walk to Queen St railway station, where we depart at 1041 on Scotrail's 1A39 towards Aberdeen. We alight at Montrose at 1233 on Wednesday.

I was tempted now by the ferry across to Fleetwood, but thought that might just ensconce us in Blackpool for longer.

So, at 1701 we depart on bus service 89, operated by Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire. We alight at Lancaster (Bus Station, stand 13) at 1807 on Thursday.
