Taking advantage of the 5 minute minimum connection time here, we take 1L11, the 0702 South Western Railway service towards Gillingham, from which we alight at Tisbury at 0826 on Wednesday.

Well, that's odd. I've never heard of Fordton station. Then, looking it up, I realise that it is the official bus stop name for Crediton station!!!

So, finally achieving my earlier aim, we enter the station and take 2K11, GWR's 1721 service, from which we alight at Okehampton at 1748 on Wednesday.

I looked at doing Okehampton a few moves ago but that particular journey didn't seem to be running.

Next we take the 1820 Great Western Railway service to Exeter Central arriving there at 1903 on Wednesday.

Services dwindle down here in the evening, so we wait for the 2147 Stagecoach South West Falcon service to Canons Marsh (Anchor Road), arriving there at 0018 in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Trying not to get sucked into the overnight UWE trap, let's spend 5 mins walking the 0.2 miles to Broad Quay (Bristol Centre, stop C5). Here we await the 0029 First West of England service 76, which we take to Hengrove Park (The Boulevard), arriving at 0056 on Thursday.

Our only real option at this time of night is anothe rjourney on the 76 (or a walk to the 75) again, so we take advantage of the overnight rule and walk 7 minutes to the Asda bus stop where we await the 0516 First West of England citylines service 1. We alight in Westbury-on-Trym (Westbury Village) at 0533 on Thursday.

I always thought the 46 etc was a strange renumbering of country routes (X29, 342, etc.) into the city series. At least they are back in a (different!) country series now!

We walk the 7 minutes / 0.3 miles to The Butchers Arms and there await First West of England Citylines East service 44 at 1150, alighting at Lawrence Hill (Croydon St) at 1215 on Thursday.
