That was the last train to depart, so taking advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule, we bide out time away until we board the 0506 Southern service to Falmer that arrives there at 0519 on Saturday morning.

I normally stay in the Premier Inn in Addlestone when I go to London, massively cheaper than central London and means I can enjoy the train ride into Waterloo!

We take 3 minutes to walk the 0.1 mile into Kingston railway station, from where we await 2O55, the 1918 South Western Railway service. We alight at Clapham Junction at 1939 on Saturday.

Noting there is just a five-minute connection time for Southern services at this station, this allows us to board the 1946 Southern service to Reigate that arrives there at 2024 on Saturday evening.
