Recreating an actual journey made some time ago, we next board the 1334 Stagecoach West service 10 to Lower Tuffley (the bus stop near Silver Close on Tuffley Lane) that arrives there at 1347 on Tuesday afternoon.

Next we take the 1402 Stagecoach West service 10 to Hucclecote, Royal Oak arriving there at 1452 on Tuesday.

We look to take the 1540 school vacations journey on John Dix Travel service JD11, but find that despite being publicly advertised, there is a non-refundable £50 deposit and bookings can only be made either monthly or annually.
Similarly, Bennetts Coaches service RC2 needs an application code and may well be full.

So, we take the only safe option, which is to get back onto Stagecoach West service 10, this time at 1507, and alighting at Cheltenham Promenade at 1535 on Tuesday.

We next board the 1540 Stagecoach West service 66 to Stonehouse (the bus stop opposite the Post Office on High Street) that arrives there at 1708 on Tuesday afternoon.

We walk the 5 minutes (0.2 miles) to the stop by Tesco / Severnvale Shops on Severnvale Drive, and there we board the 1751 Stagecoach West service 12, alighting at Gloucester (Clarence St stand V) at 1828 on Tuesday.

We take the 5 minute 0.2 mile walk to the railway station to board the 1845 Cross Country service to Burton on Trent arriving at 2019 on Tuesday.

Both trains and buses being fairly thin on the ground at this time of the evening, we have almost an hour to wait for the 21:16 Trentbarton service V1 "The Villager" to Hatton (Railway Station) where we arrive at 21:35 on Tuesday evening.

We take the 2 minute 0.1 mile walk to the bus stop on Midland Road and catch the 0626 Arriva Derby service 1A to Alvaston, Stonesdale Court arriving there at 0653 on Wednesday morning.

We take the nine minute walk to the bus stop adjacent to Radmoor Road and there board the 0832 Arriva Midlands service 127 to Shepshed (the bus stop adjacent to Griffin Close on Anson Road) that arrives there at 0900 on Wednesday morning.

We take the 8 minute 0.4 mile walk to the Anson Road bus stop on Charnwood Road and await the 0935 Trent Barton Skylink service to Thringstone, Snarrows Road arriving at 0944 on Wednesday morning

Interestingly, we alight just before the bus turns right, whereupon heading straight ahead would have taken the vehicle into the road with the delightful name of City of Dan!
