Not that it matters but there is a stop on Mytton Oak Road outside the hospital grounds which would have saved the walk to Racecourse Lane Junction

1) ... I traced a Combe Road....is that the same one you show above?

2) ... The journey planner that I used showed a First West of England direct service to Bower Ashton (Blackmoors Lane on Clanage Road) leaving at 2151 and arriving at 2226 but showing the service number as a lower-case letter a" .... so I am chary about making that posting, as I assumed it was a different service number.

Answering on VL142's behalf (hope that's OK ), it is Combe Rd with a single 'o'.
As for the route to Bower Ashton, that journey time you quote is indeed the X3a (First WoE use lower case for suffix letters, and upper case for prefixes (with the exception of the metrobus routes whihc are lower-case m prefix). Interested to know which journey planner you use to see what they show for the wider Portishead service group...

No problem!

1) It is indeed Combe Road; thought there was an extra 'o' for some reason!

2) You are correct at your observation of the X3a. The X3a is the evening variant of the regular X3 route.

From Bower Ashton, we board the 2240 CT Plus service 505 to Southmead Hospital, arriving there at 2306 on Friday evening.
