I don't think there is a lot else. Unfortunately ending up back in Cannock meant we would end up repeating ourselves almost wherever we went.

A possibility (that has an onward option, albeit to Walsall, where we were on Tuesday evening - but that in itself has many onward possibilities) is that we hope it is nice weather and wait an hour (with no shelter ) to take the next Chaserider service 62, at 0940, as far as Burntwood (Farewell Lane) where we arrive at 0950 on Wednesday.

We take the 1003 NXWM Service 8 to Brownhills, Silver Street arriving at 1025 on Wednesday morning.

We take the one minute walk to Warren Place and there board the 1030 Walsall Community Transport service 23 to Bloxwich (the bus stop opposite Drake Road on Park Road) that arrives there at 1050 on Wednesday morning.

We walk a short way to the Victoria Ave stop, where we board the 1106 Chaserider service 1 to Cannock (Bus Station), arriving at 1126 on Wednesday morning.

We then get the 1147 Chaserider service 74 to Stafford (Wetherspoons PH), arriving at 1219 Wednesday afternoon

We walk the 6 minutes to the railway station and board 1F42, West Midlands Trains' 1238 service towards Liverpool, from which we alight at Winsford at 1308 on Wednesday.

From the bus stop outside we take the 1328 Arriva North West service 37A to Sandbach, Common arriving at 1355 on Wednesday.

We next board the 1422 Arriva North West Sapphire service 38 to Crewe (Bus Station), arriving there at 1450 on Wednesday afternoon.

We take the 1510 D&G Bus service 85 to Marshfield, Co-op arriving at 1528 on Wednesday.

We then board the 1625 D&G Bus service 85 to Newcastle-under-Lyme (Bus Station), arriving there at 1756 on Wednesday afternoon.

As we are stranded for the evening we can walk the 8 minutes 0.4 miles back to the Bus Station and wait for the following morning. We then catch the 0642 Arriva Midlands service 64 to Shrewsbury, London Road (College) arriving at 0745 on Thursday morning.

We take the 0925 Banga Buses service 891 to Albrighton, opp Fire Station arriving 0953 on Thursday morning.

Our only option is to await another 891, operated by Banga Buses, so we take the 1049 service to Shifnal, Jaspers Bar, arriving at 1105 on Thursday.

Our only option is to await another 14, operated by Arriva Midlands, so we take the 1258 service to Telford (Priorslee, adj. Fitness First), arriving at 1301 on Thursday.

We next board the 1318 Arriva Midlands service 14 to Shifnal (Rodney Close Junction on Drayton Road) that arrives there at 1340 on Thursday afternoon.

In a bid to escape service 14, We take the 3 minute 0.1 walk to the bus stop adjacent to Drayton Road Junction and wait for the 1404 Chaserider service X14 to Weston Under Lizard, Western Park Entrance arriving at 1412 on Thursday.

Limited buses here also, so we wait for the 1611 Chaserider service X14 to Cannock (McArthur Glen Shopping Centre), arriving there at 1633 on Thursday afternoon.

Let's walk the 0.5 mile / 9 mins to Mill Farm PH and await National Express West Midlands service X51 at 1647, alighting at Aston University (Ryder St, stop JW1) at 1815 on Thursday.

From the nearby stop CR2 we take the 1824 Arriva Midlands service 110 to Tamworth, Corporation Street arriving at 1929 on Thursday.

We are *just* on the half-mile limit for walking to the station, so this we do. It takes us 11 minutes. We head to platform 1 on the low level section of the station and board 1H73, Avanti West Coast's 1943 service towards Manchester, from which we alight at Stockport at 2042 on Thursday.

We take the 2054 East Midlands Railway service to Langley Mill arriving at 2213 on Thursday.

We next board the 2239 Northern Trains service to Ilkeston that arrives there at 2243 on Thursday evening.

The only bus route within half a mile of Ilkeston station is the 27, which finished for the night a few hours ago, so we await the next (and last) train of the day. This is Northern's 1N70 towards Sheffield, which we take as far as Chesterfield, where we alight at 2354 on Thursday night.

There are surprisingly a couple of journeys still going, so we board the 0027 East Midlands Railway service 1F85 to Sheffield, arriving there at 0039 in the early hours of Friday morning.
