Since we just miss the previous service, we take the 0640 Great Western Railway service 1P76 to everyone's favorite settlement, Slough, arriving at 0721 on Monday morning.

The railway stations at both Burnham and Taplow are too far away, so we then board the 1102 First Berkshire & The Thames Valley service 4 to Slough (Wellington Street), arriving there at 1123 on Monday morning.

We had already moved away from road transport :)

We walk to East Croydon station (keeping within the walking distance rules by entering via the Caithness Walk entrance) and board Southern Railway's 1F60, the 2111 service to Ore, arriving there at 2305 on Monday.

Our only choice (that isn’t going one stop to Hastings) is to board the 2326 Southern service 2G73 to Lewes, arriving at 0028 on Tuesday morning.

There appear to be no bus stops within the statutory half-mile, so we wait for the next train which is the 0701 Southern service to Ashford International, alighting at 0810 on Tuesday.

We’re an hour late for the steam train, so we take the 1221 Stagecoach South East service 11 to Hamstreet (Railway Station), arriving at 1247 on Tuesday afternoon.

Oddly, the rail station has a space in the name, despite the actual village being one word.

From Hobney Rise, we board 1542 Stagecoach South East service 6 to Eastbourne (Terminal Road), arriving at 1631 on Tuesday afternoon.

Not wishing to remain in Brighton where we frequent a lot, we next board the 1800 Stagecoach South Coastliner service 700 to Littlehampton (Selwyn Avenue), arriving there at 1952 on Tuesday evening.

Hmm, I was just looking to see what was available, as the problem I saw at Selwyn Ave was that Google says it is 0.9 mile walk (18 mins) from Littlehampton Station, so the only option was to be the next 700 back towards Brighton.
Am I missing something?

Even the bus stop round the corner had its last bus of the day about an hour ago...we'd be able to use the extended walking rule if there weren't any services, but of course there are, just not any ones useful for going elsewhere.

We manage to board the last bus of the day from Selwyn Avenue, the 2022 Stagecoach South Coastliner 700 service to Littlehampton (Anchor Springs), arriving at 2030 on Tuesday evening.
