We leave the bus station on Adventure Travel service 321 at 1315, taking it all the way to the terminus at Llantwit Major (Interchange) at 1355 on the Monday.
Staying with the same operator, we next board the 1405 New Adventure Travel service 303 to Ogmore-by-Sea (opposite the Post Office) that arrives there at 1437 on Monday afternoon.
There's not a lot of choice of public transport here and we have to wait an hour for the next bus, so we drop in to Hilary & Ian's cafe for refreshment. We sit outside and enjoy the view across the Bristol Channel to the Devon coast, before boarding the 15:37 New Adventure Travel service 303 to Bridgend (Bus Station) where we arrive at 15:50 on Monday afternoon.
We walk the 3 minutes to the Millennium Centre to board the 1847 First South & West Wales X10, alighting at Swansea, Sketty Cross (1) at 1958 in the Monday.
Well, that's given us a limited choice! The only bus out of Dunvant in the evening is the aforementioned 20 so we board the very next journey on this same route at 2045, alighting in the Uplands (Shops) at 2106 on Monday.
Despite more buses running from here, they all still finish early, and we're stuck with the 20, so, thinking it be wise to head to somewhere where plenty of other onwards connections will be available, we board the 2206 First South and West Wales service 20 to Swansea (City Bus Station), arriving there at 2215 on Monday evening.
We catch our breath for a bit and catch First South and West Wales Cymru Clipper service X13 at 2305, alighting in Ammanford Bus Station at 2359 on the Monday.
Being the time of day when we arrived, we take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and next board the 0611 First South and West Wales service 124 to Brynamman (the bus stop outside the cinema) that arrives there at 0635 on Tuesday morning.
We walk the 0.3 miles to Upper Brynamman (New Rd), departing there at 0703 on NAT Group / New Adventure Travel / Adventure Travel service 64. We alight at Glanrhyd, opp Ystradgynlais Community Hospital at 0727 on the Tuesday.
We make our way to the bus stop opposite the library and there board the 0919 First South and West Wales service 36 to Swansea (Bus Station) that arrives there at 0955 on Tuesday morning.
Leaving Wales behind, we next board the 1100 National Express service 112 to Birmingham (Digbeth Coach Station), arriving there at 1400 on Tuesday afternoon.
We walk the 8 minutes to Moor St station and board West Midlands Trains 2S48, the 1431 to Stratford-upon-Avon. We alight at Hall Green station at 1439 on Tuesday.
Walking outside the railway station to the adjacent bus stop, we next board the 1717 First Worcestershire service 675 to Great Malvern (Rosebank Gardens on Wells Road) that arrives at 1746 on Tuesday afternoon.
We take the 5 min walk to Church St and board First Worcestershire Malverns service 44 at 1801 from stop A, alighting at Malvern Link, Lower Howsell Rd, at 1818 on the Tuesday.
Crossing the road to the adjacent bus stop, we next board the 1858 First Worcestershire service 44 to Powick (the bus stop adjacent to Kings End Lane) that arrives there at 1915 on Tuesday evening.
Being mindful of the fact that the 44 does not run late, we next board the 2015 First Worcestershire Malverns service 44 to Worcester (Crowngate Bus Station), arriving there at 2035 on Tuesday evening.
We can walk to Foregate St station from here, so having done that we board 1P46, Great Western Railway's 2100 service to Paddington, alighting at Oxford railway station at 2230 on Tuesday.
Well unfortunately most of Oxford's night buses depart just after midnight, with the exception of the N1 but that departs from the other side of the city from St Aldates which is too far away, so we have no choice but to stop off for the night and return for the 0455 Stagecoach Oxfordshire service 1 to Blackbird Leys (Sandy Lane West), arriving there at 0521 on Wednesday morning.
We walk around the corner to the Sandy Lane stop, departing at 0611 on Stagecoach Oxfordshire service 10, alighting at Headington Shops at 0643 on Wednesday.
Dreaded am I indeed to be stuck in the local Oxford area (from past posting experiences over the years on this quiz), so we board the 0656 Stagecoach Oxfordshire service 8 to Barton (Edgecombe Road) that arrives there at 0700 on Wednesday morning.
