Not much in the way of other bus services here, so we make a swift return on the 0818 West Midlands Trains service 2S16 to Jewellery Quarter, arriving there at 0902 on Tuesday morning.
From the opposite Forrest Road stop, we next board the 1133 National Express West Midlands Platinum service X51 to Great Barr (Scott Arms), arriving there at 1230 on Tuesday afternoon.
We then get the 8 minutes (0.4 miles) to Birmingham Snow Hill and get the 1312 Chiltern Railway service 1H47 to London Marylebone, arriving at 1507 Tuesday afternoon.
We take he 8 minute 0.4 mile walk to Bell Street and catch the 2130 Arriva Midlands service 800 to High Wycombe, Marlow Road arriving there at 2157 on Tuesday.
We cross the road to the other Marlow Road stop heading out of High Wycombe and get the 2316 Arriva in Beds and Bucks service 800 to Marlow (Foxes Piece), arriving at 2324 Tuesday evening.
We take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and board the 0540 Arriva in Beds and Bucks service 800 to Reading (Friar Street) that arrives there at 0635 on Wednesday morning.
From the bus stop outside the station on Mitchell Way, we then board the 1213 Bluestar service U1C to Southampton University (Interchange), arriving there at 1230 on Wednesday afternoon.
