Torn between a journey on the 205 to Bow, the 453 to Deptford Bridge or a ride across the Chilterns, we opt for the latter as we visit London often, so, with a coffee and a pastry equipped, we enter the mainline station and board the 1040 Chiltern Railways service 1G23 to Birmingham Snow Hill, arriving there at 1241 on Friday afternoon.

We then board the 13:03 West Midlands Trains service to Blakedown, arriving there at 13:36 on a Friday.

We exit the station and head over to the bus stop, where we board the 1358 Diamond Bus service 192 to Halesowen Bus Station, arriving at 1419 on a Friday afternoon.

We next board the 1432 National Express West Midlands service to Stourbridge (Bus Station) that arrives there at 1454 on Friday afternoon.

I don't recall Stourbridge being in the Chilterns. Still feeling sulky, we walk the few yards to Stourbridge Town railway station, grab some refreshment for the long journey and board the 15:10 service to Stourbridge Junction where we arrive at 15:13 on Friday afternoon.

We have an hour to walk round Rocket Pool in the evening sunshine until it's time for the 19:25 Diamond Bus* service 530 to Wolverhampton (Bus Station) where we arrive at 19:50 on Friday evening.

The outward bus seems to be Banga Travel and the return Diamond Bus. Not sure how that works. Also does anyone know anything about Rocket Pool?
