• You shouldn't wait for more than two hours after the first available service (to any destination) has left, after allowing for the minimum interchange time. Night services in the UK can be quite limited, so when the previous move arrives at its destination after 2300 you are allowed to wait until 0500 the next day if you wish.

Thankful for the overnight travel relaxation rule, especially after 2300 on a Sunday night in the Grimsby area, we take the two minute walk from Old Market Place to Grimsby Town railway station where we await the first westward bound train and we then board the 0513 Transpennine Express service to Crowle that arrives at 0553 on Monday morning.
