I thought you couldn't board the Highland Sleeper at Edinburgh? Isn't it the Lowland Sleeper earlier at 2340?

As there is a ten minute minimum connection time at Edinburgh Waverley, noting the arrival at that station was at 2339, it would not be allowable to catch the Lowland Sleeper that departs at 2340.

I can confirm that you are not allowed to board the Highland Sleeper at Edinburgh Waverley. Only passengers from Fort William are allowed to alight at Edinburgh.

In that case, we exit the station and take the five minute walk to Scott Monument on Princes Street, where we board the 0015 Lothian Buses service N3 to Gorebridge (Gore Avenue), arriving there at 0102 in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Being unsure if we can immediately board this same bus at its terminus and not to allow any connection time (how many times has this type of case raised its head upon this thread?)......
We decide to throw caution to the winds and board the 0103 Lothian Buses service N3 to Nether Liberton (Liberton Road, opposite Lady Road) that arrives there at 0139 on Wednesday morning.

We certainly can. It is not the same service, and one doesn't have to observe the minimum interchange time because it is the same bus.
That's OK. The sleeper gets confusing.

It's in Clerwood. Clerwood Park is a number of cul-de-sacs which is in between Corstophine and Corstophine Hill. Clermiston is a little further up north, on the other side of Drum Brae Drive. Buses on the 26 display 'Clerwood' on the destination blinds. The terminus is approximately halfway down Clermiston Road, on a loop near the junction with Cairnmuir Road.
