We then board the 22:48 ScotRail service 2N49 to Perth, arriving at 00:09 Thursday morning.

We then get the 05:08 ScotRail service 1H03 to Kingussie, arriving at 06:25 Thursday morning.

We wait here for a while, before boarding the 07:20 Caledonian Sleeper service 1S25 to Inverness, arriving at 08:41 Thursday morning.

We take the four minute walk to the bus station and board the 0850 Stagecoach Highlands service X98 to Dunbeath (War Memorial on Village Road) that arrives there at 1125 on Thursday morning.

We then board the 1130 Stagecoach North Scotland service X98 to Brora (Station Square), arriving there at 1211 on Thursday afternoon.

We take the two minute walk to North Brae and next board the 1224 D & E Coaches service 906 to Golspie (the bus stop opposite the Bank of Scotland on Main Street) that arrives there at 1235 on Thursday afternoon.

We will then wait for the 1420 D&E Coaches service 906 to Helmsdale, Square arriving there at 1450 on Thursday

Wishing to travel in a northerly direction, we take the five minute walk to Stafford Street and there board the 1610 Stagecoach Highlands service X99 to Scrabster (Ferry Terminal) that arrives there at 1801 on Thursday afternoon.

We go into the Ferry Terminal where we board the 19:00 North Link Ferries route NL1 service to Stromness, arriving there at 20:30 on a Thursday.

Disembarking from the ferry, we take the two minute walk to the bus stop outside the Travel Centre on Ferry Road and board the 2105 Stagecoach Orkney service X1 to St Margarets Hope (the bus stop opposite the Pier on Ferry Road) that arrives there at 2209 on Thursday evening.

It would seem that is the last bus of the day, so we spend the night here before boarding the 08:01 Stagecoach Orkney service X1 to Finstown, at Allan's of Gillock, arriving at 08:50 Friday morning.
