Taking our time to admire the glorious spa town of Buxton, we then chose to board the 17:38 High Peak Council Transpeak service to Bakewell Matlock Street (Stand E), arrriving at 18:10 Sunday afternoon.

We then get the 18:20 Hulleys of Baslow service Peak Line 218 to Sheffield (Interchange (Bay D2)), arriving at 19:20 Sunday evening.

Exactly 1 hour on the bus

As we are at the terminus, noting the rules mention of a five minute connection time (that still has not been amended), can we catch this same bus in three minutes time to somewhere.....or do we have to wait for about two hours for the next and last bus on Sunday evening.?

Gameplay

The Aim of the game is to travel around the country using public transport in a pseudo-realistic fashion. To play, you must depart from the station or stop where the previous post arrived using a permitted timetabled public transport service. Having arrived at the destination, the minimum connection time for the station or stop must be allowed for. Where this is not published, a minimum interchange time is considered to be five minutes.

This is how the "Gameplay" part of the rules are still worded and these were drawn up by the forum quizmaster team.

• So the game remains realistic, you should use the current timetable for the relevant day not including timetable variations for engineering works.

How does the current unusual situation with regards to Northern Rail specially issued emergency timetables (not to do with engineering works) affect postings on this particular thread?

That is not actually what I said.

The rules (post #1) require you to state "the company who's service you are using" and that has not changed.

At the time of writing NRE does give the company name (though I believe that may change in future) which is West Midlands Trains, though you are right to point out that there is confusion over this matter (I intend to create a dedicated thread on the matter, but there are plenty of existing threads where this has cropped up recently).

I have not actually stated that "only the franchise name" is to be used; if anyone wishes to write both the company name and the brand name, I do not think that is against any rule. Whether it's worth typing both out, given how long winded that would be, is another matter!

(And yes the rules should be stating whose rather than who's, before anyone spots that! )
