Continuing our travels across the country's 'second' city, we then embark on the world famous Outer Circle as we board the 0716 NXWM service 11A to Bournville (Bournville Lane), arriving there at 0831 on Friday morning.

Finding a different operator to travel with, we next board the 0846 First in Worcestershire and Herefordshire service 144 to Worcester (Crowngate bus station) that arrives there at 1010 on Friday morning.

We take the 4 minute walk to Foregate Street before boarding the 1103 Great Western service to Brighton, arriving at 1612 on Friday afternoon.

We next board the 1759 SN service to Hastings that arrives there at 1813 on Friday afternoon.

Next we join the 1848 Stagecoach in Hastings service 305 to Hawkhurst, British Legion Hall (Stop D) arriving at 1938 on Friday evening.

Well all of the Stagecoach services appear to have finished for the day now, and there doesn't appear to be any buses until the 2200 Arriva South East service 5, which we take to it's terminus of Maidstone (King Street), arriving there at 2252 on Friday evening.

How ridiculous that the previous service 5 was at 1845?! It also didn't help that the last 304/305 left ten minutes before we arrived. Poor timetable planning I think....

I know some of the connections are rubbish around my neck of the woods, for example there is a 2 hourly 93 from Dorking on a Sunday that arrives in Horsham at 1653, the last direct 23 to Crawley departs at 1650, although the timetable is changing in a few weeks with Sunday 23s running all the way from Worthing to Crawley, so the last direct Crawley bus from Horsham is at around 1825, but there is still the 200. You can get the 200 at 1700, but it involves a change at Bewbush and an extra 25-30 minutes travelling time.

Anyway on with the game and from Chequers Bus Station just around the corner, we join the 2310 Arriva Sapphire service 101 to Chatham, Waterfront Bus Station, arriving at 2336 on Friday evening.

Taking the 8 minute walk to the railway station, we then board the 2354 Southeastern service 1S80 to Birchington-on-Sea, arriving there at 0048 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Taking the short walk to the bus stop at the Square (Stop A), we next board the 0110 National Express service 270 to Gatwick Airport, North Terminal, arriving at 0405 on Saturday morning.

We then board the 0550 National Express service 230 to Nottingham (Broad Marsh Bus Station), arriving there at 1105 on Saturday morning.

Next we have a half hour to stretch our legs before boarding the 1135 Centrebus service 19 to Oakham Station, arriving at 1258 on Saturday afternoon.

Are you referring to page 81 of this timetable? Because both that and Real Time Trains say the first train from Sturry is the 0737 to London Victoria (which is the 0719 from Ramsgate). Furthermore, Minster lies between Sturry and Ramsgate too.

Can you send a link of said service you've found. Remember we are also now on Sunday, which you didn't put on your post.

Ah so this particular journey was from Sunday just gone (3rd), which says it is the 0737 from Sturry, so we've worked that one out, however this particular service was diverted to Charing Cross as opposed to Victoria that weekend. The normal timetable goes to Victoria and on this game we go on the normal WTT, so are you happy to take the 0737 to Victoria or do you wish to take it elsewhere?

Yes. Use the journey planner on the Transport for London site, which, despite the incredibly high frequency of the tube, lists the exact departures and arrivals of every single journey on the network

So, the 0737 Sturry to Victoria arrives at 0928. We then take the short walk over to the coach station and board the 1000 Megabus service M10 to University of the West of England (Frenchay Campus/North Entrance) where I had my wonderful years of education, arriving there at 1230 on Sunday afternoon.
