I was going to catch the same service from Bournemouth, but I had a feeling I'd be reprimanded because it would have been over two hours waiting (0258 to 0515)!

We then board the 0647 CrossCountry service 1M22 to Manchester Piccadilly, arriving there at 1035 on Wednesday morning.

That appears to be it for the rest of the day now, so we call it a night before boarding the 0557 East Midlands Trains service 2T03 to Grimsby Town, arriving there at 0652 on Thursday morning.

Google Maps says it takes 6 minutes to get to Riverhead Exchange, surely a service departing in 8 minutes from our arrival is pushing it a little? Would we not have to allow at least 5 minutes from our arrival at the following interchange?

It runs once a day, so it's an all or nothing decision. What do other players think in this situation?

Well I've a vested interest in that I was overtaken by one minute by the offending post

#7481

Which I would like to reinstate if the National Express move were invalid

Reinstate the post, I think my initial (rapid!) search was wrong in terms of walking distance, so I'll withdraw the move to Westward Ho! (Which is a shame, because I've always wanted to go there).

I'm sure we'll get there some day.

Post duly reinstated and repeated here for clarity

We then exit the station to the adjacent bus stop and board the 1000 East Yorkshire Motor services* service 350 to Hull (Interchange), arriving there at 1027 on Thursday morning.

* The 350 is jointly operated with Stagecoach in Lincolnshire, who are actually the more dominant operator of the route (three services per hour as opposed to one with EYMS).

We leave the station and just miss a number 236 bus. Intrigued as to what wonders the mystical world of "Hackney Wick" holds for us, we wait for the next Tower Transit 236 service at 00:05.

The route bores us, and we alight early at Hackney Town Hall at 00:32 on Friday morning.
