The next bus is in three minutes - we're not quick enough to catch this, so it's a wait in the dark for the ......

2011 First Manchester service 83 to Miles Platting (Oldham Rd / Queen's Rd), arriving at 2049 Monday evening.

The 88 bus has several stops along Crumpsall Lane in Higher Crumpsall. Checking Traveline GM for the times quoted, I'll say we have alighted at the Middleton Road / Crumpsall Lane stop.

We take the 5 minute (¼ mile) walk to Crumpsall Metrolink Station. Here we change modes and board the 2204 Metrolink to Bury Interchange, arriving at 2227 Monday evening.

Not much we can do here as we appear to have been dropped in the middle of nowhere, so we return on the 2307 Boomerang Travel service 473 to Rawtenstall (Market Place), arriving there at 2315 on Monday evening.

Deciding to move away from West Yorkshire from one bus station with a good number of destinations to a similar one on the other side of the Pennines, we next board to 1815 First Calderdale and Huddersfield service 592 to Burnley bus station that arrives there at 1945 on Tuesday evening.

I've had a bit of a tidy up of a few postings to prevent disruption to the flow of the game, it is in the best interest that we don't have disputes in thread.

To clear a few things up, it is perfectly acceptable to refer to a bus company by it's shortened name 'First' would be acceptable, it doesn't have to specifically say 'First Norwich' or such like, if a member choses to specifically state such, as long as it allows the suitable identification of the bus company, there is no need to be pedantic! Such small technicalities matter not!

Traveline is a perfectly acceptable source of timetable information should a member wish to get their timetable information from there... it is for the most part a reliable source of information, taking in from similar feeds from Google Maps etc.

Apologies for having to take the thread off line for a short period of time whilst dealing with the issue that came up... for now, the game continues!

Whilst I'm here, the Quizmasters have been contacted with regards to the issue surrounding the use of domestic ferry services to outlying English, Scottish and Welsh islands that are not connected by bridges or tunnels. These are acceptable and the rules have been duly changed to reflect this. Please note however that it is not the intention that the game gets caught up on remote islands for long periods of time!

Any issues, please don't hesitate to contact me or another of the Quizmasters.

Regards,

TP.

No more transport available tonight, but it's a short walk to the adjacent Selby railway station. We take one of the first trains out the following morning, the 0623 Transpennine Express to Manchester Piccadilly arriving at 0743 Wednesday morning.
