This is going to end up in the south again which is gonna stress me right out.
We play it safe and head towards the south west, as we board the 1829 South West Trains service 1L53 to Exeter St Davids, arriving there at 2042 on Thursday evening.
I was going to go there too! Great minds think alike!
Sadly that is it now, so we call it a night before boarding the 0643 Great Western Railway service 2T05 to Newton Abbot, arriving there at 0750 on Friday morning.
Exiting the station and heading to North Bridge, we then board the 1624 Lothian Buses service 5 to The Jewel (ASDA), arriving there at 1656 on Friday afternoon.
We take the three minute walk to the bus stop on Milton Link and board the 1714 First Scotland East service X8 to Haddington (Market Street) that arrives there at 1747 on Friday evening.
Walking around the corner to the bus stop on High Street, we then board the 1759 First South East and Central Scotland service 106 to Musselburgh (Police Station), arriving there at 1827 on Friday evening.
From this location of constabulary, we next board the 1907 Lothian Buses service 40 to Bilston (Seafield Road) that arrives there at 1924 on Friday evening.
I was worried for a moment as no one had replied for three days!
Walking around the corner onto Princes Street, we then board the 0215 Lothian Buses service N25 to Riccarton (Herriot-Watt University Campus/The Avenue), arriving there at 0238 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Only two postings have been made in the last five days, suggesting that contestants have little knowledge of the routes of the night buses in the Edinburgh area, otherwise this quiz would not find itself in the situation that currently is the case.
Agreed. If we are able to work out timetables for services in the Highlands, as well as other obscure, rural places, then we should definitely be able to work out timetables for services in one of the country's biggest cities!
A shame, the game has never reached that stage....
They are indeed the same stop. It's still a tad too early to board the first rail services out of Waverley yet, so let's board the 0410 Lothian Buses service N22 to Ocean Terminal, arriving there at 0424 on Saturday morning. This is quite a large complex with both night and normal services so hopefully many of the day services will have begun by now
Lothian Buses 22 at 0440 (or 0445 depending which timetable you believe) will take us to stop PP on Princes Street arriving at 0500 (or 0505 ) Saturday morning.
Exiting the station, we then board the 1540 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 265 to Bath (Grand Parade), arriving there at 1615 on Saturday afternoon.
Taking an interest in the settlements on this route, we return on the 1814 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 231 to Box (Post Office), arriving there at 1851 on Saturday evening.
