It's not the same train. We waited at Hayes and Harlington for it - it's an hour later. I've clarified the move

I concur, it's not the same train, this is a perfectly valid move. This is an hour and two minutes from the last arrival, and is also the first service that takes us to Culham. I shall take us forward from Culham.

So we walk out to Abingdon Road, in time to catch the T2 bus operated by Thames Travel, arriving at 14:11. We take the bus to Oxford Science Park, outside the Magdalen Centre, where we arrive at 14:37 on Wednesday Afternoon.

We wait an hour at the science park for the next Thames Travel T2 northbound departure at 1540 and ride into Oxford getting off at Speedwell Street at 1610 Wednesday afternoon

We talk a leisurely half mile walk to Magdalen Street, where we catch the Stagecoach Oxfordshire 2C service at 16:40. We take it to "The Boulevard O/S London Oxford Airport", arriving there at 17:18 on Wednesday afternoon.

We walk along Banbury Road to the stop at Lathbury Road. We see a few Darts and ALX200s roll by, before deciding to board the 1749 14A bus (operated by Stagecoach Oxfordshire). We arrive at Oxford railway station (stop R4) at 1801 on Wednesday evening.

Just enough time to join the CrossCountry 1E64 service heading North to Newcastle, which pulls into Platform 2 at 18:10. We take the train as far as Doncaster, where we arrive at 21:19 on Wednesday evening.

But, as there is another service leaving prior to yours, and within the two hours rule (as demonstrated), we should go with that.

Edit - it's actually an ECS train that leaves Beverley at 2320 to go back to Hull. Doesn't carry passengers

I think he's found the 23:20 ECS service, which arrives into Hull at 23:36, as listed on RTT.

I therefore propose my route as above to be the next service which leaves Beverley.

I know DasLunatic beat me with the early morning run to London, but as I have demonstrated a service leaving Beverley within 2 hours of arrival as stipulated in the rules, I propose that this be our next move.

You shouldn't wait for more than two hours after the first available service (to any destination) has left, after allowing for the minimum interchange time.

With the day slowly drawing to a close, it's important that we head to settlements that have a range of connecting services. There isn't much point getting stranded overnight on smaller intermediate stations on this line, so we take a short hop on board 2D74, the 2143 Northern service to Eaglescliffe, arriving there at 2152 on Thursday evening.
