We appear to have a choice between returning to big cities with sprawling transport networks, or going properly rural. We choose the latter, and head over to Platform 7 for Scotrail's 2H77 service up the Far North Line, leaving at 21:06 and arriving into Tain at 22:16 on Monday evening.

I clearly am on the same wavelength as neither of you! (Although, to be fair, I've managed to sleep through the travels of my own country!). Post deleted pending next move.

Why not? It's a stunningly beautiful part of the world, and very challenging for this game because of the sparse public transport network.

Anyway, from Shrewsbury, we decide to stick with Arriva, but this time leave the trains behind and board the Arriva Midlands number 436 to Bridgnorth. We arrive at Bridgnorth (High Town Hospital/Adj Hospital) at 15:33 on Tuesday afternoon.

Yes it is stunning! I was referring to transport haha!

We then board the 1545 Central Buses service 125 to Stourbridge (Bus Station), arriving there at 1715 on Tuesday afternoon.

I think I've caught up with the game now, in about 2 hours we seem to have visited 3 countries (4 if you include the Black Country.....).

Anyway we continue on our journey with the National Express West Midlands service X96 departing at 1730 and arriving at Upper Gornal, Green Lane at 1828 on Tuesday evening.

Since that was the last service of the night, we pull out our flask and watch the freighters pass by. A passenger train doesn't arrive until 0511. It's a FGW HST. We ride it all the way to its terminus, arriving into London Paddington at 0728 Wednesday morning.

The Heathrow Express is a valid move - anyone want to take flight and go to the USA?
